Journey to a Place of Wondrous Legends
Haw Par Villa - formerly known as the Tiger Balm Garden – is an 8.5-hectare Asian cultural park, the last of its kind in the world. Built in 1937, Singapore’s largest outdoor art gallery is the brainchild of Aw Boon Haw, the millionaire philanthropist and marketing extraordinaire who gifted the world Tiger Balm. The eclectic park is a treasure trove of Asian culture, history, philosophy and religion – quirky yet enlightening, at the same time. Since 2015, it is managed by Journeys Pte Ltd, an award-winning heritage specialist passionate in preserving and bringing the heritage gem to greater heights.
Why do yoga outside?
A change of scenery can do wonders!
Brilliant blue skies and puffy white clouds! A change of scenery not only provides a beautiful backdrop, but brings new flavours that shift the energy of your practice.
Turn that frown upside down!
Birds chirping, a cool breeze on your skin, and the sun shining on your face - no wonder the outdoors makes us happier. Taking your practice outside can help release negative build-ups and promote an increase in positive vibes!
Practicing familiar poses in a new landscape not only provides a fresh perspective, it also offers new ways to be challenged. Finding balance on uneven terrain and keeping focus through unusual distractions can make your practice more rewarding.
